Kobe Bryant's 35 Pushes Lakers Past Sonics

Kobe Bryant brought some order to another sloppy finish by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Bryant scored six of his 35 points in the final 3:51 and the Lakers overcame three turnovers in the final 1 1-2 minutes to beat Seattle 106-99 Tuesday night, snapping a three-game skid and sending the SuperSonics to their fifth straight loss.

The Los Angeles Lakers are now 8-6 in second place in the Pacific Division. The Suns lead the division at 11-3.

Kobe Going To Bulls

According to Rawkus "Kobe will be in a Bulls uniform by the end of the week. NBA news-watchers say that it could happen as soon as today but details may delay a final deal. Stay tuned."

Looks like Kobe is going to try to be the new M.J.

Kobe Bryant Addresses The Media

Here are some of Kobe's statements at Lakers Media Day:

On offseason problems involving not pursuing another star to help him win:

"I was frustrated, so I blew up. Now, it's about taking this team that we have and take it to new heights. I think the important thing for everybody to understand is I want to bring a title back to L.A."

"I'm ready to play. I'm in shape, guys look good. I'm ready to go. My job is to come out here on the floor, help us win ballgames."

"I'm a soldier. It's not my decision to say whether or not we should fight the war," he said. "My focus and my mind has to be on this team. We have an uphill battle. I'm going to do all I can to help us win."
