Luke Walton made a great effort in the final moments of the game to win the game.

Walton racked up 19 points and Lamar Odom added 18 and nine rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers edged the Phoenix Suns, 94-91, in their second preseason matchup.

Andrew Bynum put up 16 points and nine rebounds for the Lakers, who turned the ball over 30 times but managed to win the game.

Los Angeles had a 90-89 advantage before Walton sank a 3-pointer with 42 seconds left. Following a bucket by the Suns, Walton split a pair of free throws, making it 94-91 with just 9.5 seconds remaining.

After two 20-second timeouts, Jumaine Jones launched a 27-foot 3-pointer from the top of the key which clanked off the front of the rim before time expired.

Two-time reigning MVP Steve Nash finished with 10 points and 11 assists while Amare Stoudamire contributed only one point in 19 minutes for Phoenix, which defeated Los Angeles, 99-91, a week ago.
